Our Mission
Our mission is to offer Sickle Cell patients the opportunities to restore health, elevate lifestyle, and develop a stronger awareness. From Restoring health exploring pain management and tasty ways to cleaner eating. Elevating lifestyle by creating a system to explore avenues most Sickle Cell patients may not be aware of such as continuing education, peer support, and Leadership U. Ultimately these components push toward the goal of developing awareness for our communities and even the World. Getting a broader message pushed out by utilizing ways to uplift our warriors one by one.
From a Sickle Cell Patients Baseline to Chronic Pain Crisis
SICKLE CELL pain has been classified as an acute, recurrent, and chronic pain problem just like phases such as the moon. You have the waxing of the moon or increase of pain intensity to waning of the moon or decrease of pain intensity. So it is important to remember to “Phase the Pain” because it is not about the pain, it is about handling the pain in a healthy, progressive manner. Many Sickle cell patients can tell you “NO PAIN IS THE SAME” and that is why we have hematologist and Oncologist that prepare Pain Management plans. These plans are set to give a directive guide on to how to cope with sickle cell pain crisis. However RedMoon Project, Inc. wants to bring a more innovative & holistic approach to pain management and cutting down on the narcotics.
Your Helping Hand
"Being in the hospital has always been a huge hindrance with my life. From the consistent Pain Medication to feeling like a cushion for needles, and especially when I don’t have the support that I really needed. Sometimes just having company, or someone to talk to make a difference being hospitalized.”
— Erica L. Pean , Sickle Cell SS patient
Giving back to the community is important to RedMoon Project, Inc. , because of the impact it would make by spreading awareness of Sickle Cell Disease taking lives as we speak. However it is our aim to reach the youth to our adults. This begins to create an awareness at an early age grasping an understanding of something that could potentially take your life away. Expressing ways of taking care of yourself in a new, modern way where people in our society nowadays will listen is the difference. We want to break the common, and establish a organization made for our futures and our children’s futures. With making efforts to network with schools, churches, and other charities will be only an addition to the RedMoon family and what we have to offer.
Sickle Cell Disease has affected many individuals around the country, such as children and adults finding out later in their years. However, with the changes in our community, and traditions dissolving, Creating RedMoon Project, Inc. is the start of a new mission and bringing services that will benefit ones with Sickle Cell Disease and blood mutations associated. Though RedMoon Project, inc. is geared to helping many Sickle Cell patients, this ultimately is a crutch to help bring communities together, bringing families together, and building a foundation for all.
“Being STRONG is the battle, Phasing the Pain makes you a WARRIOR”
