Sick Cells : Ambassadors Program - Sharpen Your Advocacy
WHO ARE SICK CELLS AMBASSADORS?
Ambassadors represent a diverse group of patients, caregivers, and SCD advocates.
Individuals need a passion for helping people with sickle cell disease and the willingness to make their voice heard.
There are no educational or training requirements required to join.
We encourage individuals of all professional and educational backgrounds to become an Ambassador.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
The Sick Cells Ambassador Program has a network of patient advocates that we connect to current events. We learn about the background, skill set and interests of our individual ambassadors, then help them direct their skills to advance their advocacy. Likewise, the ambassadors receive training and education to facilitate ongoing advocacy in their local communities.
There are a variety of activities someone can do as an Ambassador. Learn more about potential activities to pursue given your interests and skills by completing the Interest Form.
