Warrior Things and Gaining Wings

This Morning has been somewhat of a roller coaster. As you all know waking up in the morning can be hard for us warriors. I mean especially for me in the rain. I feel in many times with the bio-metric pressure from the rainy weather is when I get the most pain in the morning. It is hard to move when waking up as well as just feeling achy. But I had to have a little pep talk with myself, and really just think about Mind over Matter. Plus I have a full time job that is paying my bills, so let me not get up.(And be mad that check is short). So I got up and came to work, as I drag my feet and and feeling a slight pain in my left hip. I just had to pray the weather would get better. But as I get to my desk I get started on RedMoon and working to push more social media.

I’m scrolling down the page looking at everyone’s post then to see SickCells IG. My heart literally dropped, my mouth was open, and I legit started crying. Its absolutely heart breaking to know someone who has Sickle Cell Disease pass away. I have a huge soft spot for Sick Cells, they have always been such a great motivation to keep pushing for what I believe in. And who not to thank the most like Marqus and Ashley Valentine. These two have been such a powerful force in the SCD Community and many may not know, but Sick Cells has a huge reputation in the SCD community for policy making and also drug pricing regarding Medicaid and Medical insurances. So much has been taught from these two siblings and the legacy is growing tremendously.

Seeing post on Instagram about Marqus passing away was more hurtful then ever, because I personally I knew him. We have shared laughs, we have planned, and really made things happen for the better, and our futures. I’m sad to know I can not have the chance to speak with my Warrior Brother again, but I know he will alaways be there in spsirit uplifiting me ono my next journey. Rest In Peace, Power & Paradise My Friend.
