Because sickle cell is starting to become so popular to the science eye, we have many resources available. Here at RedMoon we aim to push all resources to the forefront making it easier for our youth and other patients with sickle cell. Below I have some info attached as well as some helpful tips to read.
What Is RedMoon ?
RedMoon Project, Inc. is the start of a new mission to bring services that will benefit ones with Sickle Cell Disease and blood mutations associated. From the lead connection with the phases of the moon, and how it starts with the waxing of the moon (increasing pain intensity) to waning of the moon (decreasing pain intensity). The moon is in constant phases every year, and just as Sickle Cell is also from it’s pain crises. Sickle cell patients endure phases of pain such as having a full day of no pain, to the next day experiencing pain that is unbearable. Many Sickle cell patients can tell you “NO PAIN IS THE SAME” and that is why all Sickle Cell Disease is complicated. So it is important to remember to “Phase the Pain” because it is not about the pain, it is about handling the pain in a healthy, progressive manner, such as living life fearlessly. However RedMoon Project, Inc. wants to bring a more innovative awareness & holistic approach to treatment. Though we are geared to helping many Sickle Cell patients, this ultimately is a umbrella to help bring communities together, bringing families together, and building a foundation for all.
